E+J's Parkville Engagement Shoot (featuring puppy!)

Engagement shoots are one of our favorite ways to get to know a couple and build confidence in front of the camera. We were absolutely delighted by this joyful couple we met at Rochester Brewing and Roasting in Parkville, MO. E and J may have had some nerves before we started shooting, but their natural, playful natures quickly illuminated our lenses!

They brought along two helpers: their sweet pup R and their bestie, who is just as much part of their love story as they are! Peep J and R's matching sweaters from a queer-owned company! How cute!?

We especially love that they brought their bestie along: she was great help when the pup needed a little extra support, but she was also such a wonderful reflection of the community supporting this romance.

After enjoying lattes and get-to-know you's, we wandered down through English Landing Park, exploring the nature preserve, farmer's market, and historic paths.

We loved their playful natures: they jumped on logs, explored the woods, danced in the park, and laughed non-stop. As you can see the joy just oozes out of this duo and brightens the world around them.

Parkville is an especially great spot for engagement shoots: it's not too crowded, folks are friendly, and the scenery is great for an outdoorsy, natural vibe, but it's also pretty accessible, with lots of wide, smooth concrete walkways. We love a spot where everyone can enjoy the outdoors!

Parkville and English Landing Park are also a great location if you'd like to bring your dog along: many storefronts are dog-friendly and there's even a dog park close by where they can get their wiggles out!

We can't wait to document the next evolution of E and J's romance at the wedding! If this day in Parkville is any prediction, their day will be filled with laughter and love.
